What does a hopeful future look like? How do we build it together, right here in Ashland?
These questions were at the heart of Climate Change and Community: Inspiring Ideas for a Healthy Future, a recent presentation by our co-founder and Board President Lorrie Kaplan and Executive Director Erin O’Kelley Muck.
On the evening of March 17, a wonderful group of community members gathered at the Rogue Valley Metaphysical Library (on St. Patrick’s Day, no less!) to explore practical ideas for taking meaningful climate action. The energy in the room was warm, engaged, and genuinely hopeful. We’re so grateful to everyone who came out to be part of the conversation!
“Such a great presentation! Very clear, inspiring, and informative. Thank you for sharing with us. I’m so glad I came.” – Megan Isser
If you weren’t able to join us in person — or if you were there and want to revisit the ideas — we’re thrilled to share the full event recording, now available to watch via YouTube. Whether you’re new to climate action or looking for fresh inspiration, we think you’ll find something in this conversation to glean. Lorrie and Erin brought their signature optimism and creative thinking to a wide-ranging discussion about the power of community action — and how educating, inspiring, and motivating the people around us multiplies the impact many times over.
A heartfelt thank you to the Rogue Valley Metaphysical Library for hosting us in such a welcoming space, and to everyone who shared kind words about the presentation. Your enthusiasm is exactly what fuels this work.
Together, we can pave the way for a healthy future. We hope this presentation leaves you feeling as energized and hopeful as we do!
“Feeling super climate motivated tonight.” – Allison Wildman
