Climate Clubs

Neighborhood Climate Clubs

Did you know there are climate clubs throughout Ashland? The concept is simple — neighbors gather and discuss topics like how to protect homes from wildfire, adopt cleaner transportation, and reduce food waste. They socialize with potlucks and develop friendships — all while learning how to reduce climate pollution.

Neighborhood groups

Are a great way to…

  • Get to know your neighbors
  • Help each other navigate climate change
  • Discuss brief presentations by community experts
  • Integrate climate considerations into everyday life
  • Enjoy being and working together

If you want to go fast, go alone, If you want to go far, go together.

Our opportunity

We have a big challenge — to reduce pollution and keep our planet livable for our children. Today, people are isolated and tuned into different media sources. Half of Americans “don’t know where to start.” Climate Clubs meet this need by:

  • Providing concise and practical information
  • Showcasing our superpower — working together
  • Addressing  our goals of building resiliency and reducing emissions
  • Building community
  • Inspiring hope as we do our part collectively to address climate change

A welcoming environment

We follow these simple “rules:”

  • Listen and learn from each other
  • No judgment or pressure
  • Everyone’s voice matters
  • We are nonpartisan and engage respectfully
  • Have fun!
