Hi! This is Erin and Lorrie of the Ashland Climate Collaborative — a nonprofit that empowers people to do what we can about climate pollution — right here in Ashland.
Ashland Climate is a nonpartisan grassroots organization that focuses on big moves to protect this beautiful place we love for our kids and grandkids.
The BIG moves you can make:
- Clean transportation – choose healthy ways to get around Ashland (biking, walking, rolling, driving EVs)
- Clean home energy – switch to efficient electric appliances (especially from gas furnaces to energy-efficient electric heat pumps)
- Clean landscaping tools – adopt quieter, cleaner electric mowers and blowers
- Compost food waste – keep it out of the landfill, where it creates polluting gas
- Climate clubs – come together with neighbors to achieve climate solutions
- Adapt your home – conserve water and help protect your home from wildfire
How will you know that climate action is working?
- Watch for throngs of people biking around town.
- Look for “We’re Going Electric” signs in yards.
- Check out the compost bin crowds at the Tuesday Market.
- Notice more homes conserving water and preparing for wildfire season with defensible space and firewise landscaping.
