Wildfire-Ready Neighborhoods Community Meeting

Wildfire risk is part of life in Ashland — but facing it doesn’t have to be something we each do alone. Join us for an informal gathering of Ashland residents who are taking action across Ashland to connect neighbors to build stronger, more resilient communities while also reducing wildfire risk and improving evacuation safety.

Wildfire-Ready Neighborhoods is a new (2026) Ashland Climate Collaborative peer-to-peer initiative to help neighbors organize themselves to reduce the risks posed by wildfire. Our goal is that every Ashland neighborhood has one or two Neighborhood Connectors working to organize their own neighborhood to reduce wildfire risk and improve evacuation safety. We provide you with basic tools and experience with neighborhood organizing, offering peer and local expert support all the way. There are no rules or requirements; we welcome anyone who can contribute in any way to organizing our neighborhoods to reduce wildfire risk. The program will evolve in phases based on the needs of our Neighborhood Connectors. We are innovating and refining our tools and resources in real time.  Sound like an adventure? It is.
